CARAVAN INFORMATION
WE have been able to negotiate additional space for Exhibitor caravans this year. Together with the space
used last year we have additional space available formerly used for stewards.
We are again indebted to Charles and Jilly Holgate who will be acting as Caravan Stewards thus enabling
us to offer this facility.
Please follow the signage and report to them upon arrival. Contact No 07850 710106.
We are able to provide :-
• A fairly level site
• A secure situation within the showground
• Secluded from the main workings of the showground
• Water supply, and a toilet block close to the site
• A waste emptying facility on the showground
• The toilets within the show building are available for use throughout the week within 7.00am – 8.00pm
• There is an on-site “Farm Shop” 7.00am – 5.00pm which provides a great range of meals and food supplies
The show halls are within a short walk of the Caravan Area (approx. 200M) closer than the exhibitor car park,
we therefore ask you not to attempt to park closer to the halls.
Please remember that this is a working Show site and there is a large Equine Event in progress to the North
of your site. We ask you therefore to keep dogs on leads at all times when not in the confi nes of your set up
and respect other users of the site.
We hope that we will be able to continue with this arrangement in future years, but bear with us while we deal
with any diffi culties that may arise. If you have any issues, please report them to the Caravan Stewards or the
Show Management team, remember, Facebook will not resolve your issues.
Enter the showground by the Main Gate and follow the signs to “Exhibitor Caravan Area”
Do not leave the main road through the site until you have reached the Caravan Area
Enter your dogs as NOT FOR COMPETITION (at a cost of £10 per dog). This will enable your dog to be benched alongside your entered dogs. Dogs entered NFC must be Kennel Club registered and full details must be given on the entry form.
Unentered dogs may also be brought to the Show on the day and admitted as a SPECTATOR DOG (At a cost of £5 per dog). Upon arrival at the Show you will need to complete the necessary Kennel Club Form, giving an undertaking that you will keep your dog under control at all times.
PLEASE NOTE:
In order to comply with Kennel Club requirements, car park passes must be shown in the windscreen, displaying the entry form number.

Entrance passes will be posted to exhibitors using postal entries.

The Organisers would like to bring the regulation on photography and filming to the attention of exhibitors, trade stands, press and visitors. It is a condition of all those attending the event that no filming or other form of recording may be taken or made at the venue without express written permission of the organisers. The taking of photographs in the show venue for sale or reward is strictly prohibited except with the written permission of the Organisers. Press accredited photographers are provided with permission to take photographs ONLY for use in newspapers, magazines and internet sites – this is for news purposes only. There is no objection to the general public taking photographs of general views of the show, provided that these are for private use. Specific dogs may be photographed only with the approval of the exhibitor. No photography or filming is permitted in breed judging rings whilst judging is actually taking place. However, judges may allow it to happen at the end of classes or after the
Challenge Certificate is awarded. Filming and flash photography is allowed from outside the rings at all times unless the operation of the camera is actually affecting exhibits. However, if a powerful flash unit is used or it is clear that exhibits are being affected, a ring steward or the judge is empowered to stop the person concerned.
Breed Clubs are welcome to hold their Championship or Open Shows within the City of Birmingham Show. Application should be made to the Secretary.
“The City” were pioneers of this initiative as far back as 2010, showcasing many minority breeds.
We strive to assist you in creating the best possible atmosphere at your Breed Show, thereby achieving that uniqueness your members deserve in their show.
